Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Interview Forge ("the Service", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time (see Section 14); continued use after a material change means you accept the updated terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service, and you represent and warrant that you are, as a condition of registration. Live voice/video mock interviews and the proctored coding assessment additionally require an explicit one-time confirmation before first use, since these features activate your camera and/or microphone.

3. What the Service is

Interview Forge is a self-directed AI interview-practice tool for individuals. It generates practice interview questions, scores your answers, and — on eligible plans — offers live voice/video mock interviews, delivery coaching, and a proctored coding assessment, using Gemini and other AI models.

4. License grant and restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial interview preparation, subject to these terms.

• You may not resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own product.
• You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts, or source code.
• You may not use automated means (scraping, bots, scripted access) to interact with the Service outside its intended UI/API.
• You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan gates, or proctoring/anti-abuse mechanisms.
• You may not use the Service to build a directly competing product.

5. Account registration and security

Authentication is handled by Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse of the free tier (see our sign-up and rate-limit protections), or pose a security risk to the Service.

6. Not a screening or assessment tool

This service is a self-directed practice tool for individuals. It may not be used by employers, recruiters, staffing agencies, or educational institutions to evaluate, screen, monitor, or make any decision about a third party (including a candidate, employee, applicant, or student). Scores, feedback, and delivery/presence analysis are practice guidance for the individual user only — they are not an assessment of employability, competence, or character, and must not be relied upon by any third party for any purpose.

7. AI-generated content

Questions, feedback, model answers, and scores are generated by AI (Gemini and other underlying models) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unrepresentative of any real interviewer or hiring process. You are responsible for exercising your own judgment. You may not misrepresent AI-generated answers as your own original work in an actual job application, nor use the Service to generate content for resale.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the answers, résumé data, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service to you (e.g. generating feedback, computing analytics). We do not use Your Content to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell it. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on data handling, retention, and your deletion rights.

9. Plans, billing, and free-tier limits

The free plan allows a limited number of interview sessions per month; limits are enforced automatically and reset monthly. Pro and Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis via our payment processor(s) and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again after that date. We may change plan pricing with advance notice; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for refund terms.

10. Prohibited use

• Attempting to scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the AI question-generation or scoring system.
• Creating multiple accounts to evade free-tier limits or anti-abuse protections.
• Uploading unlawful, infringing, or harmful content (including malware) as part of a résumé or answer.
• Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity or age.
• Using the Service in any way that violates applicable law, including data protection or export-control law.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee job offers, interview outcomes, uninterrupted availability, or that AI-generated feedback is free of error. Beta-labeled features (e.g. Live Voice/Video Mock) may change or be discontinued without notice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us (Section 15); if unresolved, disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rajasthan, India, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law grants you a right to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified with at least 30 days notice (via email or an in-app notice) before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
